Doyle Thompson, age 68 of Dibble, passed away Wednesday April 17, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital in OKC. Doyle was born September 13, 1944 in Buckeye, AZ. His parents were Tommy Thompson and Rosie Thompson. Doyle was raised in Oklahoma near Alex where he attended school. He joined the United States Army and later served in the United States Navy. Doyle loved his country and served his country with great pride. After his service, he married his best friend, a young woman named Patricia Ruth Allen. They moved around between Arizona, California and Oklahoma before settling in OK in the early 1980’s. And although Doyle never had any children of his own, he raised Pat’s as if they were his own. Doyle worked mostly as a diesel mechanic and he welded some. He loved tinkering on things in his shop. Doyle loved horses and greatly enjoyed trail rides to New Mexico and Colorado with his brothers, Billy, Roger and David. He and Pat were members of the Blanchard Riding Club for many years. He was a loving and caring husband and father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Tommy Rosie Thompson and Walter Elam and a Brother, Donnie Thompson.
Doyle leaves behind: His wife, Pat, of the home; His daughter, Debbie Davis of Bullhead City, AZ; 2 sons, Tony Allen of Dibble, OK and Rob Allen of Bullhead City, AZ; 2 sisters, Betty Craig and Connie Conine, both of Moore; 6 brothers, Ralph Elam of TX; David Elam of TX; Ronnie Elam of OK; Bill Thompson of Maysville; Roger Thompson of Alex and David Thompson of OK; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
