Jewell Holland, age 100 of Lexington, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012. Jewell May Lynn was born May 16, 1912 in Roff, OK, the youngest of 2 children born to Luther Winfield Lynn and Stella Etta (Turner) Lynn. She was raised in the Roff and Vanoss area, graduating from Roff High School. Jewell married Charles Wesley Holland, the preachers son, who graduated at Bixby, OK and moved to Ada , on April 20, 1930. Together 68 years, they were blessed with two daughters, Cora May & Lynna. They made their home in Wichita, KS for nearly 34 years, before moving to Pauls Valley, and eventually settling in Lexington in the 1980’s. Jewell worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. She was a devoted Christian and served the Lord faithfully. Jewell was a Bible Scholar and a gifted teacher and taught many Bible classes throughout the years. Her Christian friends and all who knew her, refer to her as a “prayer warrior”. She was an extraordinary woman, a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Charles Wesley Holland; Her parents, Luther & Stella Lynn; Her brother & sister-in-law, Chester Horace & Thelma Lynn; An infant sister; Son-in-law, Loren Heintz and Great granddaughter, Alyssa Bloyed.

Jewell leaves behind: Her daughters, Lynna Heisey and husband David of Lexington and Cora May Heintz of Jackson Center, OH; 5 grandchildren, Michael Heintz and wife Susan of Urbana, OH, Lynnae Harrell and husband Eddie of McKinney, TX, Mark Heisey of Noble, Matthew Heisey and wife Christy of Lexington and Lara Bloyed and husband Brian of McCloud; 12 great grandchildren, Cheryl Symons & husband Tim, Becky Heintz, Cody VanSchuyver, Ashley VanSchuyver, Elijah Bloyed, Abagail Bloyed, Kyrie Kuykendall, Katarina Kuykendall, Elias Kuykendall, Dylan Heisey, Zechariah Heisey and Lael Heisey; Great-great grandson, Lex Symons, and many other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada. Online Condolences @ wilsonlittle.com.
