Alisha Jean Richardson

Alisha Richardson, age 47, of Norman passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2025. Alisha Jean was born on January 28, 1978 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the oldest of five children born to Dennis Wayne Moore and Georgeanna (Spannaus) Richardson. After she was born, the Moore family moved to Guthrie for a short time, before eventually settling down in the Norman area. Alisha attended Norman Public Schools up until around the 10th grade, and from there she entered straight into the workforce. Alisha was very driven, dedicated, and passionate about helping others. This fueled her career as a CNA in the healthcare industry. Alisha married young to a gentleman named, Vanoy Don Richardson, and together they had three beautiful children- Bethann, Jacob, and Hope. One of Alisha’s greatest accomplishments in life was becoming a mother. She wore the title like a badge of honor! She considered herself very fortunate to be able to stay home and care for her children day-in and day-out. They shared countless memories that will forever be cherished! Alisha was fortunate to find love again with a man named, Cecil Dudley Beavers. Their paths crossed by chance, and the rest as they say, is history. Alisha and Cecil were married on July 5, 2011. They shared 13 wonderful years of marriage together, full of genuine love and laughter. In her free time, Alisha enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She loved all flowers, but she especially liked roses, tulips, and irises. Alisha was extremely loving, selfless, feisty, grateful, thoughtful. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and she was constantly putting others needs before her own! She was also very consistent and reliable. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader and supporter; she showed up, no matter what! Alisha loved spending time and making memories with her children, and later in life her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than the day she became a “Nana”. Alisha truly was a one-of-a-kind woman who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her! She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Vanoy Don Richardson; father, Dennis Moore; sister-in-law, Lamanda Chapin; aunt, Lahonda Vanhoutan, and cousin, Harrison Campbell. Alisha is survived by: her loving husband, Cecil Beavers of the home; son, Jacob Richardson of Norman; daughters, Bethann Ogdon and husband Jacob of Norman, and Hope Richardson of Norman; her mother, Georgeanna Richardson and husband Mark of Norman; brothers, Daniel Moore of Elmore City, and Marcus Richardson and wife Darra of Oklahoma City; sisters, Denise Moore and Leeann Moore both of Norman; 8 grandchildren, Cecilia, Olivia, Hudson, Harper, Atticus, Adeline, Eden, Vivian, and a host of other family and friends. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Little’s Chapel.
