Dean Lenell Ferran

Dean Ferran age 46 of Lexington, passed away on March 3rd 2022 at his home surrounded by those he loved. Dean Lenell Ferran was born on April 22, 1975 in Monmouth, Illinois to Jimmie Dean Ferran and Cheryl Lynn Ferran (Offolter). His family settled in Oklahoma near Dibble, and eventually relocated to the Purcell area where Dean attended high school. Dean met a young lady named Lesley Rader and both their lives changed forever. They fell in love and were married on February 6th, 1997 at the Courthouse in Purcell, and just last month they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Dean loved cars and made his living as a certified Ford mechanic and a diesel mechanic. Despite his Ford certification, he was a Chevy Nova enthusiast and fondly remembered the one his father drove. When he wasn't working Dean loved to be outdoors catfishing and camping. He could be found shooting hoops with his son, spending time with his daughters, and being his wife's stepladder when she needed something from the top shelf. His deepest passion in life came in 2014 when he accepted Christ. Dean went from being an Atheist, to an Evangelist- he spoke with anyone who would listen about Jesus and what he had done in his heart. He became an ordained minister through Zion ministries and shared the Gospel to everyone around him in both words and actions. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Dean was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dean Ferran. He is survived by his Mother, Cheryl Ferran, Aunts Beverly Diaz and Husband Antonio of Irving Texas, and Tawana Morrison and Husband Dave of Wayne. His Sister Shelly Lynn Cheatwood and Husband Eric of Lexington. His wife, Lesley Ferran of the home. His children, Carlton Ferran and significant other Kallie of Purcell, Tequlla Gowdy and husband Austin of Lexington, and Ashley Ferran of Lexington. Dean also leaves behind 5 beloved grandbabies, Alix, Spencer, Mykayla, Charlene, and Freya. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday March 7th, 2022 at Little's Chapel, Wilson-Little Purcell with burial to follow at Dibble Cemetery.
