Deloris Carmen Sorrels (née George), age 83, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, in Blanchard, Oklahoma. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she was surrounded by loved ones as she entered eternal rest. Born on March 16, 1942, in Parma, Arkansas, Deloris was one of ten siblings in a bustling and close-knit family. Her early life was shaped by the bonds of family and faith —values that remained central throughout her life. She carried the strength and spirit of her upbringing into every chapter that followed. Deloris built a remarkable career with Mary Kay Cosmetics, where her dedication and charisma led her to become a top saleswoman. Her achievements were recognized with the honor of receiving a Pink Buick—an emblem of her hard work and success. But beyond accolades and titles, it was her ability to uplift others that truly defined her professional journey. She inspired many with her unwavering positivity and served as a mentor to countless women seeking confidence and independence. Her love for Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. Deeply rooted in faith, Deloris lived each day with grace and compassion. Her kindness radiated through every interaction-whether offering words of encouragement or simply sharing a warm smile. Deloris's greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother to Michael Sorrels and his wife Lolita, and to Debbie Lewis and her husband David. As "Nonnie," she adored her grandchildren Kristin, Joshua, Nicole, and Christopher; and found immense delight in watching her great-grandchildren Braydon, Lilli, Kalvin, Emma, Braxton, and Presleigh grow. She shared lifelong bonds with her surviving siblings: brothers Donnie and Jerry, and sister Myrene. She now reunites in peace with those who passed before her-her beloved husband Carroll Dean Sorrels; parents; brothers Bobby, Clermon, Lowell; and sisters Genieve, Dennie, and Jean. Deloris's home was often the heart of family gatherings-filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of home-cooked meals. Her presence brought comfort to all who knew her. Whether celebrating milestones or offering quiet support during difficult times, she embodied unconditional love. Her legacy is one of resilience, generosity, faithfulness, and elegance a life well-lived in service to others. She leaves behind not only treasured memories but also an enduring example of how to live with purpose and heart. May Deloris's memory bring comfort to those who knew and love her and may the light she shared continue to shine through generations to come. Per Deloris's wishes, the family encourages all who attend the service to dress in bright and vibrant colors to celebrate her life. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 30th, 2025 at Little’s Chapel, Wilson-Little Purcell, with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held Tuesday July 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
