Frances Ann King

Frances King, age 80 of Newcastle, transitioned from the physical to the spiritual realm Friday, June 5, 2020. Frances Ann Stallman was born July 27, 1939 in Chamberlain, SD to Albert Theodore Stallman and Anna Katherine (Black) Stallman. Fran was the oldest of seven siblings, raised in Reliance, and attended school there, graduating with the Class of 1957. Fran married young, to Gerald E. King and together they raised a daughter, Vicki. During the mid to late 60's Gerald was working on the pipeline and the young family found themselves living in over 30 states before settling in Oklahoma City. Fran loved the pipeline years; she loved traveling and experiencing new lands. Even though Fran and Gerald divorced in 1975 they remained lifelong friends. In the early 1970's Frances began working in property management, primarily with the FAA. She loved her work and made friends all over the United States, but by her mid-forties she longed for change and adventure. Fran fell in love with Bob Perez and relocated to Guam in 1987. She loved island life and went back to work in property management for Six D Enterprises. She made many lifelong friends in Guam. Guam always held a special place for her, but in 1998 she longed to get stateside to be closer to family. Fran relocated to Tiburon, CA in 1998 and worked as the General Manager of the Tiburon Lodge until her retirement in 2004. After retiring, she moved to Oklahoma, settling in Newcastle to be near Vicki and her grandchildren. Fran traveled the world over, visiting Europe several times, China, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines to name a few. She always enjoyed a good visit with a friend, and she cherished her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Albert and Anna Stallman; Sister, Peggy Smith; Brother, Kelly Cordry and Her ex husband, Gerald E. King. Fran is survived by: Her daughter, Vicki King Martin of Newcastle; Brother, Ed Stallman and wife Diane of Hempstead, TX; 3 sisters, Barbara Speck of Chamberlain, SD, Sandy Foxwell of Farmington, NM and Karel Crispin of Farmington, NM; 3 granddaughters, Brittany Wells of Edmond, Lauren Martin of OKC and Rileigh Martin of Newcastle; Many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
