Gary Bolser

Gary Lynn Bolser age 60 of Washington, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in OKC. Gary was born October 22, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the 2nd of four children born to Charles R. Bolser and Freda Marie (Archer) Bolser. Gary attended high school in both Bellingham, MA and Lexington, OK graduating from Lexington with the class of 1977. While in high school he attended Vo-tech school and became certified in Diesel Mechanic's and Paint and Body repair. On January 28, 1978, in Washington, Gary married Darlene Wade. Together they made their home in Washington and raised three children, Jeremy, Keri and Lacy. In 1979, Gary started working for General Motors in OKC and remained working there until the plant closed in 2006. After retiring from working for five years he returned to work in the oil field and worked there for the past seven years, when his health began to fail. Gary also worked 25 years as a volunteer fireman for the Washington Fire Department and felt honored to have served the Washington community. Throughout his life, Gary was an avid fisherman, for over 20 years he enjoyed fishing in Bass Tournaments all over Oklahoma. After he and Darlene started having grandchildren, they became his top priority. Gary was a Christian and a member of the Washington First Baptist Church. Most of all, Gary was a family man, he enjoyed going to the lake in the summers and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was preceded in death by: Mother, Freda Bolser; Sister, Carolyn Baker; Granddaughter, Kelsey Bolser; His in-laws, Doyle and Virginia Wade; He is survived by: Wife, Darlene Bolser of the home. Three children, Jeremy Bolser and wife Amanda of Washington, Keri Barnes and husband Lance of Washington, Lacy Jacobs and husband Matt of Washington; Six grandchildren, Hunter and Kendall Bolser, Talance and Braxon Barnes, Tayton and Kellen Jacobs; His Father, Charles Bolser of Lexington; Two brothers, David Bolser of Lexington, Robert and Wanda Bolser of Texas, Brother-in-law, Mike Wade of Washington; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Washington First Baptist Church. Followed by interment at the Washington Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Washington Fire Department. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
