Gary Lynn Bonner ll

Gary Lynn Bonner II, age 37 of Noble, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2016 in Elmore City. He was born on January 30, 1979 in Norman, OK, the 2nd child of five children. His parents were Gary Lynn Bonner and Laura Bell Ramsey. Gary grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington schools graduating in 1998. While in high school he played basketball, football, wrestled and even enjoyed home economics. During his junior year in high school Gary enlisted into the Oklahoma Army National Guard. This was the beginning of his lifelong career in the Guard that lasted nearly 18 years. On March 9, 2006 in Purcell, Gary married the love of his life, Katherine "Katie" L. Gockel. Together they made their home in Noble where they raised three children, Eli, Ian and Aly. Gary worked for many years in the Oklahoma City National Guard office before transferring to the Lexington Heliport branch. During his time in the Oklahoma Army National Guard he proudly served one year overseas in Kuwait from 2008-2009. Gary's passion was being in the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, camper and hiker. He also loved riding motorcycles, coaching his kids and supporting the OSU Cowboys. Gary was a faithful Christian and member of the Lexington Freewill Baptist Church. But most of all Gary was a family man who loved and adored his wife and three kids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Martha and A.L. Ramsey, Jim Bonner and George and Mary Moore; Mother, Laura Bell Ramsey Moore; Brother-in-law, John Gockel; He is survived by: Wife and three children, Katie, Eli, Ian and Aly, Father and step-mother, Gary and Teresa Bonner of Lexington, Step-Father, Kevin Moore and Kathleya Camp of Elmore City, Father and Mother-in-law, Terry and Sherry Gockel of McAlester, Grandparents, Curtis and ClaraReece Claunch of Lexington, James and Delcine Parker of Lexington; Two brothers, Chad Sparkman and wife Emily of McKinney, TX, James Bryen and wife Whitney of Lexington, Two sisters, Angel Dixon and husband Kenny of Carlsbad, NM, Connie Pierce and husband Mark of Wynnewood; Several close friends and running buddies, Brent Dunn and Joey Byers; Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016, at the Lexington First Baptist Church in Lexington, OK. Burial will be at the Lexington Cemetery.
