Johnnie McNutt

Johnnie McNutt, age 81 of Newcastle, and formerly of Lexington, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. Johnnie Lynn Banks was born April 15, 1940 in Paris, Texas to Albert Cecil Banks Sr. and Imogene (Morgan) Banks. She married young, and to this union, sons, Kenny and Dennis and daughters, Penny and Lisa were born. Johnnie worked hard to provide for her family. She began working at Westinghouse, later retiring from York after more than 20 years of dedicated service. She later married Dub McNutt, and welcomed his children, and now two families became one. She loved spending time in her garden and tending to her flowers. She was a gifted quilter and shared her many talents with both family and friends. Johnnie loved the Lord, and had a true servant's heart, and she served faithfully as a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She cherished her children, and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: husband, Dub McNutt; Sandra Wages, Donnie McNutt and Bobby McNutt; parents, Albert and Imogene Banks and 4 brothers, Albert C. Banks Jr., Wayne Banks, William Banks and Jerry Banks; grandchildren, Kristopher Sugg and Christy Wages Grier. Johnnie is survived by: Children, David McNutt and wife Rose of Pauls Valley, Larry McNutt and wife Connie of Pauls Valley, Roger McNutt and Tommy Martinez of Lakeside, California, Kenny Sugg of Lexington, Penny Willhite of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Shahan and husband Dennis of Newcastle and Dennis Sugg of Harrah; 18 grandchildren, Jarrod Willhite, Randi Shahan, Becky Whitehead, Dennis Sugg Jr., Kelsi Callaway (Mary Ann), Tara Randol(Jimmy), Kevin McNutt(Pam), Kerri Webb, Teresa Mann, Donna McNutt, Allica Cox(Eddie), Angel Baird(Jeremy), Daniel McNutt, Zach Copeland and Steven Martinez; 31 great grandchildren and one on the way; 2 great great grandchildren and one on the way, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Little's Chapel, Wilson-Little. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery.
