Kevin E. Williams

Kevin Eugene Williams, age 54 of Edmond, and formerly of Wanette, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022. Kevin was born July 22, 1967, in Oklahoma City, the youngest of three children of Boyd and Cordelia Williams. Kevin grew up in Wanette, OK, with his sister LeGay and brother Kelvin. Kevin and his siblings shared a deep and loving bond that lasted throughout his life. Kevin also shared a close relationship with his dad, Boyd, and his mom, Cordelia. Kevin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wanette, and attended Wanette Public Schools until graduating Wanette High School in 1985. After graduation Kevin continued his education at East Central University. During his time at East Central, Kevin joined the Epsilon Omega chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha, of which his brother Kelvin was already a member. Kevin cherished the memories he made with his fraternity brothers, and was always a Pike. Kevin graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. On March 1, 1989, Kevin and Michelle Clevenger welcomed a daughter, Lauren Williams, into the world. Kevin loved Lauren deeply and enjoyed watching Lauren grow into the woman she is today. Kevin and Lauren share a unique bond that will not be undone with his passing. Lauren gave birth to Bella Bockover on September 30, 2019, making Kevin a grandpa or as Bella would call him "grandpa and the donkeys". Kevin's greatest gift was his ability to connect with people. Regardless of your relationship with him, he could connect and make you feel welcome in any situation. Kevin had numerous friends and family that knew they always had a friend and someone they could rely on. Until the very end of his life he was a rock to more people than he ever knew. Kevin is preceded in death by: Dad, Boyd Williams; Grandparents, William and Ada Williams and Opal and Goldie Whitaker Kevin is survived by his daughter Lauren Williams of Oklahoma City; Sister LeGay and husband Rick of Wanette; Brother Kelvin and wife Amy of Irving, Texas; granddaughter Bella; Nieces and Nephews Matthew Riggs, Sarah Winters, Carson Williams and Mary Alice Williams; numerous other family and friends. The family would also like to thank the team at Davita Dialysis Center in Norman, OK, as well as Dr. Annie Moreau for the care and compassion shown to Kevin. Services for Kevin will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, 2:00 pm at Wanette First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wanette, Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Little.
