Kody Keith

During a snowstorm on January 2, 1977, Kody Keith entered into the world and suddenly departed on March 14, 2021, after celebrating forty-four years on this Earth. He was blessed to have been raised by his loving parents, Darrell and Brenda, and proud to be the BEST big brother to D'Ray and Lana. Kody was active in athletics throughout his school career and proud to wear #8 for the Washington Warriors. His high school years were spent hanging with his life-long friends of the Class of 1995. After college, he and Krysta created two of his greatest loves, Kora and Katy. He spent the remainder of his life chasing the girls and cheering them on in everything they did. Throughout his life, Kody faced many trials and tribulations. He relied on his faith and love of the world to carry him through. Kody often crossed paths with lifelong friend and eventual wife, Nichole Murphy Keith. Kody and Nichole found balance and hope together. They built a home in Washington and created a cherished and blended family with Miles, Kora, Katy, and Cash. Kody's life passion began with his first team roping at nine years old when he and his dad competed at a Father's Day Roping. He continued this competition during high school. Poncho and Nickel were two of his favorite roping horses among the many he saddled over the years. This passion continued throughout his life, and Kody found happiness inside the arena. Kody was at home behind a guitar and loved all genres of music. He often played for family and friends and brought them into his performances. Kody also played professionally at many different venues and benefits. He also found joy in fishing and mushroom hunting. Kody was the happiest being outdoors and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Patterson Keith, and his grandparents Joe and Nettie Patterson and Dennis Keith. Kody is survived by his loving wife, Nichole of the home, his daughters Kora and Katy Keith of Purcell, and stepsons, Miles RedCorn of Norman and Cash Spor of the home. He is also survived by his father Darrell Keith and wife, Lori of Washington, and sisters, D'Ray Beauchamp and husband, Brandon of Mead and Lana Keith Bradshaw and wife, Laura of Washington and grandmother, Nadine Keith of Washington. Kody also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him tremendously. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on March 19, 2021, at Goldsby Baptist Church officiated by Blythe Wilson. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this difficult time.
