Larry Dewayne Morris Jr.

Larry Dewayne Morris Jr. was born on February 3, 1970, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Larry and Debbie Morris. He went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2025. He spent his life surrounded by the love of family and friends, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. On August 23, 1991, Larry married the love of his life, Stephanie, and together they built a beautiful family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Stephanie of the home, his children, Baylie Morris and fiancée Arin Mitchell of Moore, Drake Morris and finance Bailey of Newalla, and Noah Morris of Oklahoma City. He was a proud and loving grandfather (Papa) to four granddaughters Zoey, Presley, Penelope, and Amelia and bonus granddaughter Maleah, he eagerly anticipated the arrival of his grandson Arin Jr in March. Larry is also survived by his mother, Debbie Morris of Moore; his grandmother, Betty Soward of Moore; his sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Roy Tritten, his brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Nicole Morris; his mother-in-law, Debbie McGuire, and his sister-in-law, Dalene Bay. He also leaves behind numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Morris Sr.; his paternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Morris; his maternal grandfather, Eddie Soward; his father-in-law, Mike McGuire; and his brother-in-law, Greg. From a young age, Larry learned the tile trade from his grandfather and father, carrying on their legacy in an industry where he became well known for his exceptional skills, deep knowledge, and willingness to teach and guide others. For the past 15 years, he worked at Metro Surfaces, where he not only built a career but also found a second family. Larry’s loved ones are deeply grateful for the love and support from Keith and the entire Metro Surfaces family, he cherished each of you. Like his father and siblings, Larry never met a stranger. He was a friend to many, he loved deeply, and in return, was deeply loved. He also had an infectious laugh that you simply could not ignore, a sound that will echo on in the hearts of those who knew him. Larry had strong faith, and in the final moments of his life, he was at peace, having lived with no regrets. Thank you to all who have prayed and helped the family over the last 6 years, we do appreciate each one of you. We are especially thankful for the doctors, nurses and other caregivers who were compassionate, caring and above all patient with him. Larry, your fight is over, and we will miss you dearly, but we are thankful for your faith and know we will see you again in heaven.
