Levi Clyde Steen

Levi Steen, age 42 of Newcastle, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022. Levi Clyde Steen was born October 12, 1979 in Midwest City, the middle child of three children born to Clyde Earl Steen and Patti Gail (Rhodes) Steen. He was raised in Newcastle and attended school there, graduating with the Racer Class of 1998. Levi lived at the race track, and was racing by age 11. He traveled all over the region, racing any dirt track he could. Alongside his dad and brother and Mark Banister, he helped build the family business, the I44 Speedway from the ground up. Away from the track, he enjoyed working on the farm, and he studied to become an electrician, so he could work on wind turbines. He was so proud of his son, Noah, and he cherished being a father. Levi was a free spirit, without limits, and without fear. He enjoyed the thrill of riding a motorcycle, a four-wheeler, or anything fast on wheels. He was adored by his family and friends, and will be dearly missed! He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Ron Rhodes and Essie Mae and Raymond Steen, and his aunt Ruthie House. Levi is survived by: his son, Noah of the home; parents, Clyde and Patti Steen of Newcastle; sister, Brandi Duncan and husband Patrick of Edmond; brother Chaz Steen and wife Tracie of Bridge Creek; uncle Jimmie Hammontree of Texas; Grandmother, Ruth Hammontree of Edmond; nieces and nephews, Madison Masterson and husband Jack, Makenzi Duncan, Boston Steen, Finley Steen and Jack Porter Steen and a host of other family and friends. A scholarship for Levi's son Noah, has been set up at the First United Bank, for anyone that would like to donate. The scholarship is under the name of "The Noah Steen Scholarship Fund". The entrance will be on the North West corner of the building at the Adult Education Entry. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Newcastle First Baptist Church.
