Linda Manning

Linda Manning, age 73 of North Richland Hills, TX, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022. Linda Gail Manning was born on October 10,1948 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She spent her early years in Pauls Valley and later in Purcell, graduating with the Dragon's Class of 1966. By chance, Linda met a young man named Dwight Manning. They were at a basketball game and then later met again at the Tasty Freeze in Purcell. She knew he was the one, and on February 24, 1967, Linda married Dwight in Anaheim, California. At the time, Dwight was in the Navy, and they first lived in San Diego for a time, before settling in Haltom City, TX, a suburb of Fort Worth. Linda worked for Mitchell's Department Store and CAC until 1978 when she started working for Bell Helicopter in the accounting department. She worked her way up to a senior defense contract negotiator and retired on January 01, 2009, after more than 31 years of dedicated service. Away from work, Linda enjoyed watching movies and her favorite soap operas, and never missed an opportunity to watch the OU Sooners or the Dallas Cowboys play football. She loved playing cards, slot machines and anything and everything to do with Elvis. She truly loved and cherished spending time with all of her family especially her granddaughter Justice. Linda's fur baby Simba was always by her side. Linda always looked forward to family reunions and going on family cruises. She was a woman of great faith; she loved God and attended the Legacy Church of Christ in Fort Worth. Linda had a huge heart, and would do anything to help out a family member or a friend in need. She will never know how many lives she has touched and how many people truly loved her. She had a contagious smile, big dimples and always had perfect hair. She was preceded in death by: her parents Paul R. Loveall and Jewell E. Loveall; brothers Ralph, Paul Kay, Tommy Loveall and sisters Billie Weidler and Norma Tenpenny. Linda is survived by her husband Dwight Manning; sons Dwight Manning Jr. and Kevin Manning; granddaughter Justice Manning; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Linda will be missed dearly! Services will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Saturday February 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. Send online condolences @ www.wilsonlittle.com. There will also be a celebration of life in the Fort Worth area later on in the early part of June. No set time and date at this time.
