Patty Heath

Patty Heath age 65 of Wayne passed away at her home on November 21, 2025. Patricia Beth Thomas was born on May 15, 1960 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Harold Gene Thomas and Jean Yvonne Thomas (Guilliams). She grew up in OKC and attended school at Putnam City, graduating with the Pirate Class of 1978. Patty married young and started a family which blessed her with her children. She spent most of her working years with the Oklahoma Tax Commission, specializing in exempt manufacturing. Later in life she found love with a next-door neighbor, Doug Heath. Their friendship turned into romance; they were soon married and made their home in Wayne. Patty was an active participant in the lives of her grandchildren. She supported their every endeavor, attending each sporting and band event she could. Patty was a firm believer that you had to grow older, but not up! She found adventure everywhere with her family, from ATV riding to trips to the circus, she had a contagious joy and zest for life that inspired her loved ones to be the best version of themselves. Patty was a genuine caregiver, she gave her time and help to anyone in need, always showing up with a hug, some sweet tea, and never asking for anything in return. She loved her home in Wayne and took pride in keeping it nice-from brush hogging to tending the flower beds, Patty could do it all. She made her house a home, filled with love, holiday magic, and with peace and safety for all who entered there. Patty was a beloved wife, mother, and nana who will be dearly missed. Patty was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Jean Thomas, and her son Ben Lauderdale. She is survived by her husband, Doug Heath of the home. Her children Chris Lauderdale and wife Laurie of Moore, and Christie Valadez and husband Jose of Edmond. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Layla Mills and husband Braden of Noble, Kane Lauderdale of Wayne, Emma Taylor and husband Logan of Edmond, Olivia Lauderdale of Moore, and Sofie Valadez of Edmond, and one great granddaughter Annalynn Beth Mills. A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday November 28, 2025 at Little’s Chapel, Wilson-Little Purcell.
