Ray Stucks

Ray Stucks age 73 of Bridgecreek, Oklahoma passed unexpectedly on Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. Anthony Hospital in OKC. He was born June 25, 1943 in Pauls Valley, OK. Ray was the 3rd child of eight children born to Raymond Earl Stucks and Gladys Irene ( Ivey) Stucks. While growing up he learned how to work hard as a young boy. He kept this same work ethic throughout his life and passed it on to his three sons. Ray attended Alex High School and graduated with the class of 1961. After high school he worked in highway construction before going into the oil field. Ray worked in the oil field for nearly 20 years, he was the Vice President of Drilling for ONEOK when he decided to make a career change. In 1999 he went to work for Estes Chemical Company in OKC, later retiring at the age of 70 as their warehouse manager. On May 2, 1969 in Chickasha, OK, Ray married the love of his life, Ronda Davis. In 1980 they moved to Bridgecreek, OK where they raised their three sons, Brandon, Brock and Tyler. Ray loved being outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoyed yard work, gardening and in his earlier years he enjoyed fishing. He liked all kinds of music, "if it is good I'll listen to it" he often told his boys. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Ray was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather. He was a special brother, uncle and a dear friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Raymond and Gladys Stucks; One sister, Earlene Cofer; He is survived by: Wife, Ronda Stucks of the home in Bridgecreek, Three sons, Brandon Ray Stucks and wife Denee` of Bridgecreek, Brock Stucks and wife Kim of Newcastle, Tyler Stucks and wife Mindi of Newcastle; Three brothers, Dale Stucks and wife Cynthia of Anadarko, J. D. Stucks of Lindsay, Jiggs Stucks of Chickasha; Three sisters, Sue Wilmeth and husband Charles of Marlow, Melba Schoolfield and husband Jimm of Bigsby, Twyla Stucks of Grove; Nine grandchildren, Josh, Tyler, Victoria, Barrett, Grayson, Ryder, Janson, Melia and Cassidy; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, several uncles and aunts; Also a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, May 26, 2017 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco, OK. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
