Robin Cook

Robin Cook, age 66 of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2022 at her home. Robin Dale Hane was born to Harold Raymond Hane and Marian Hane (Cook) in Columbus, Ohio on May 1, 1956. Robin and her family eventually made their way to Kansas where she graduated with the Derby High School Panther class of 1974. Soon Robin had a family of her own and lived in Moore, OK and finally made her way to Lexington, OK which has been her home for 23 years. Robin cleaned houses and had great success in caring for her clients over the years, most of whom became like family. She truly had a servant's heart and loved helping others. As she raised her sons, their friends became part of the family too. Robin had a knack for crafting and was a skilled seamstress. She loved to crochet and sew, and every Halloween she made sure her sons had the coolest costumes on the block from power rangers to Disney characters, Robin made them all by hand with love. Robin loved her church, Lexington United Methodist, and served there faithfully. Robin ran the church's food bank for many years and was in charge of everything from ordering to distribution. She was a talented musician and enjoyed playing folk, country, and gospel on guitar- a passion she passed on to her family as well. Robin fought COPD in recent years and remained positive in her struggle. She had a positive impact on every life she touched and left them all a little brighter. Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marian Hane. Her brothers, Ron Hane, Jack Hane, and Randy Hane. Her sisters Lynda Musselman and Lori Rice, and her nephew Shane Hawes. She is survived by her children, Jake Cook of Oklahoma City, OK, Zack Cook of Purcell, OK, and Caleb and wife Ciara of Lexington, OK. Her sisters Candy Carroll of Athens, OH, and Judi and husband Ron Hawes of Moore, OK. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Benson, Emalyn, and Grasen Cook, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 20, 2022 at the Lexington United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, OK.
