Robin Hammonds

Robin Hammonds, age 56 of Noble, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 15, 2021. Robin Janine Weidman was born October 27, 1964 in Okla. City, the 3rd of 5 children born to Herbert Peter Weidman and Thelma Ruth (Archer) Weidman. Robin was raised in Purcell and attended school there, graduating with the Dragon Class of 1982. By chance, Robin met a young man named Larry Hammonds. It was love at first sight, and they both knew it. A week later, after a bet with her friend on who would get married first, they crossed the border into Gainesville, TX and were married December 28, 1984. They lived mainly in the Purcell/Lexington area where together they raised their children, Mattew, Lindsay and Sara. They later moved to Noble and have called it home since. Robin returned to school at Oklahoma City College, and later obtained her paralegal certification. Robin enjoyed her work and spent many years as a legal assistant. Robin was a mother first, and she cherished her grandchildren. She was big hearted and always up for a good time. Robin enjoyed shopping, and singing karaoke, and she looked forward to bike rides with Larry. She made the casino every chance she could, and made sure to get her daily Dr. Pepper fix. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: her parents, Herbert and Thelma Weidman and her sister, Beth Jones. Robin is survived by: her husband, Larry Hammonds of the home; son, Mattew Hammonds and wife Amanda of Noble; daughters, Lindsay Hammonds of Okla. City, Sara Hammonds and fiancé Nick Bridgeford of Noble and Kelli Hammonds of Norman; Brother, Mark Weidman and wife Kathy of Norman; sisters, Sandra Mayo and husband James of Norman and Tracy Weidman of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, Ryann, Breianna, Matisyn, Allysn, Jordan, Bailey and Desjea; two great grandchildren, Dahlani and Cora; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 22, 2021, at Little's Chapel. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery.
