Sam "Sammie" E. Herring

Sam "Sammie" E. Herring age 79 of Oklahoma City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 12, 2023. Sammie lived a life full of zest and a love for Christ. She was born on January 14, 1949 in Rosedale, OK. She was the eldest of two daughters born to Addison Bert Davis and Ada Maxine Miller Davis. Sam attended elementary school at Rosedale and High School years at Purcell, graduating in 1962. In 1968 she married the love of her life, Charles Franklin Herring and together they raised one daughter, Sherri. They stood by each other side by side, through thick and thin. Throughout her life, Sammie worked very hard and operated various businesses. In her early years of marriage, she worked with her husband as a loan officer for Friendly Finance in OKC. Sam was a very caring person and was always willing to help others. During Desert Storm she was a team leader for the "Family Army Team Builders" (FATB). An organization that helped families of service men and women. This led her to a higher calling to become an ordained minister of the gospel, and in doing so she helped bring many people to Christ. Her faith in Christ was incomparable. During the 1990's she attended Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK and later becoming a Televangelist. For many years she owned and operated from her home office in Purcell, OK, Triad Ministries. A daily TV ministry, broadcasting through KSBI, TV in OKC. Sam later owned and operated 'Sammie's Antiques in Oklahoma City and a Wedding Chapel in Moore, OK. She will be remembered as a faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is in God's hands and is now one of his angels. She was preceded in death by; Parents, Addison Bert and Ada Maxine Davis, Sister, Belinda Arlene Skinner. She is survived by; Husband, Charles Herring of the home in OKC, Daughter, Sherri Rose and husband Scott of OKC, Granddaughter, Samantha Bennett of Three great grandchildren, Jadon Rodriquez, Jett Bennett and Jack Bennett. Several nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 16, 2023 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, OK.
