Sherie Walden

Sherie Jean (Wall) Walden, age 65 of Purcell, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. Sherie was born in Los Angeles, California, the oldest of 6 children born to Boyd Wall and Johnnie Sue (Wright) Wall. She was raised near Corbett and spent much of her childhood years there. She attended school at Lexington. Shortly after high school, she met and fell in love with a dashing fellow; Keith Walden. She just knew he was the one. Sherie and Keith were married on April 2, 1977 in Holdenville, Ok. They made their home in Purcell where they raised 5 beautiful children that were the center of their life. Sherie spent her life working in the home taking care of the family, children and later her grandchildren. Her family was the absolute most important thing to her. She loved to garden, quilt, and read romance novels. She was known for her famous homemade hot cocoa, fudge and mac and cheese. Sherie loved all holidays but the 4th of July was her favorite because "everyone in the country celebrated her". She enjoyed spending time in Sulphur at Little Niagara- it was beautiful and her special place. Lots of memories were made during her Walt Disney World trip with her friend. She loved camping and making huge breakfasts for all the family and friends over the grill in the great outdoors. Sherie cherished time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and her great grand. She was loved by many and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; Boyd and Johnnie Sue Wall. Sherie is survived by her husband, Keith Walden of the home; her sons, Shawn Walden and wife, Sherraina of Purcell, and Mitchell Walden of OKC; her daughters, Alisha Reno and husband Lloyd Brooking of Purcell, Tiffany Jones of Yukon, and Becky Whitehead of Poteau; her brothers, Delbert Wall and wife Tammy of Stratford, and Don Wall and wife Kathy of Bethany; her sisters, Patty Coldiron of Clayton, Peggy Luman and husband Barry of Poteau, and Lavonda Wall of Arlington, Tx; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones, Kalie Carl, Alex Walden, Allison Walden, Joshua Jones, Anthony Jones, Emily Reno, Jadyn Patrick, Kaydance Whitehead, Gavin Walden, Braelynn Walden, Cody Walden, Naomi Walden, Mercedes Walden, Arianna Walden, Sofia Walden, Millie Walden and LuKas Wilmeth-Brooking; great-grandchild, Daytona Martinez, and a host of friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Little's Chapel, Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. Burial will follow at Corbett Cemetery.
