Wanda Booze

Wanda Booze age 80, of Oklahoma City, passed away Tuesday August 30, 2022 in Norman. Wanda Lou Klepper was born November 19, 1941 in Rosedale, Oklahoma, the oldest of 3 children born to Haskell William Klepper and Lucille Ida (Whitfield) Klepper. Wanda's early childhood years were in Rosedale, where she began school, before moving to Purcell in 1953. Wanda graduated with Honors from Purcell High School with the Dragon's Class of 1960. She then attended the University of Oklahoma, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Science & Business Education in 1964. Wanda married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Booze, on April 10, 1964. They moved to Texas and settled near Denton, where together they raised three children, daughters, Cheryl and Christal and a son, Michael. Wanda worked side by side with Raymond in the day-to-day operations of the family business, Booze Appliance Service and Repair for more than 30 years. She later worked for Trinity Industries in Dallas for more than 10 years, before retiring in 1995. After retirement, she enjoyed her time as a volunteer for Norman Regional Hospital. Away from work, Wanda enjoyed bird watching and tending to her garden, and she never missed an opportunity to go fishing. She was an avid sports fan and yelled loud for her Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. She was a gifted quilter and seamstress, and she shared her many talents with family and friends. She moved back home to Oklahoma in 2002, settling in Oklahoma City. Wanda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed! She was preceeded in death by: her parents, Haskell and Lucille Klepper and sister, Linda Klepper. Wanda is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Welch and husband Ron of Okla. City and Christal Yoshida and husband Mike of Dallas; son, Michael Booze and wife Cindy of Krugerville, TX; sister Trudy Underwood and husband Tommy of Broken Arrow, OK; 7 grandchildren, Cailey and Hannah Booze; Jeffrey Harris and Chase Rainey, Racheal Bradley, Dennis Reed, and Matthew Welch. 5 great grandchildren, Austin, Kyla, and Noah Bradley, Dylan and Marlie Reed; several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, and a host of other family and friends. We would like to express our appreciation to Grace Living Center Norman Skilled Nursing and Therapy and Good Shepherd Hospice for their wonderful loving care. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Little's Chapel, Wilson-Little. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. www.wilsonlittle.com
