Anna May Ogle

Anna May (Tarvin) Ogle departed this earthly life on Nov. 22, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born November 25, 1929 to George Rea Tarvin and Georgia May (Lawrence) Tarvin in Parsons, Kansas. She met Dale Wesley Ogle in elementary school and years later they were married on May 24, 1947. Anna May was happily married to her beloved husband for 65 years. Although, she married at 17 ½ (she always stressed the ½ to her children), after completing her family, she went back to night school to get her high school diploma. Anna May worked at several jobs during her early years, but her real profession was being a homemaker and caregiver for her four children. She seemed to relish being a mother and grandmother. She always loved children which she apparently inherited from her mother. Anna May was one of 12 children and having been the eldest daughter she got a lot of experience taking care of children. She loved traveling and visiting with family and friends. Anna May had a very giving spirit; she was always willing to lend a hand with a cheerful and happy heart. Anna May was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Newcastle. She worked for years volunteering in the nursery with the many children she loved. She was an example of what a Christian should be. She never said a bad word about anyone and always looked past others flaws and imperfections. She loved unconditionally! Anna May was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wesley Ogle, in October of 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Emil Tarvin, Will Tarvin, George Tarvin, Maurice Tarvin, Larry Tarvin and Jerry Tarvin: her sisters; Ginny Petrin and Maurine Farmer. Anna May leaves cherished memories with her children; Dale Wesley Jr. (Mae), Darrell Wayne (Janice), Linda Orton (James) and Daniel Rea (Tuca), grandchildren; David Ogle, Andrea Lanier, Christina Corker, Kim Johnson, Kim Handley, Greg Ogle, Stephen Orton, Alyssa Orton, Allison Ogle, Alex Ogle and Caleb Ogle; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her brother, Glen (Barb) Tarvin, sisters; Rosie (Lowell) Ishmael and Wilma Jameson. Special thanks to her granddaughter, Christina Corker (Jeff) for the care and love she has provided for the past few years along with Dale and Mae, Darrell and Janice, and Mae's sister, Jean. Anna May would want to thank all of those that have helped and assisted in her care. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 26th at the 1st Baptist Church of Newcastle with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK.
