Bobby Bryant Rose Sr.

In Loving Memory of Bobby Bryant Rose October 1, 1939 – Age 86 Bobby Bryant Rose, age 86, born in Goldsboro, North Carolina and a resident of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by service, dedication, and love for his family. Bobby proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, including during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his service, he worked in air traffic control and also repaired field radios and computers. A disabled veteran, he carried the strength and resilience of his military experience throughout his life. After retiring from the Air Force, he owned and operated Bar Code Equipment Service for over 30 years, earning the respect of all who knew him through his hard work and integrity. He was also known for his kindness and patience, taking the time to teach fellow workers how to read—an act that reflected his generous spirit and desire to help others succeed. From a young age, Bobby showed his deep love for family. With his very first paycheck, he purchased an automatic washing machine for his mother, making her the first in their town to have one—a gesture that spoke to his thoughtfulness and devotion. Bobby met the love of his life, Maudeanna Ann (Bennett) Rose, in Lexington, Oklahoma, and together they shared 65 years of marriage. He is survived by his devoted wife; his two sons, Bobby Rose Jr. and David Paul Rose; his three grandchildren, David II, Alex, and Amanda; his younger sister, Sue; and his four great-grandchildren, Adela Rose, Lincoln Rose, Julian Stevens, and Sebastian Stevens. Bobby had a deep love for fishing, wrestling, and stock car racing, and was a devoted Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He also enjoyed racing motocross alongside his sons, while his wife supported them by working the snack bar—memories that reflected the closeness and joy of their family life. Known as a man who was loved by all, he will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and the lasting impact he made on his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Viewing will be held from 3-7 pm Friday March 27, 2026. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday March 28, 2026 at Little's Chapel, Wilson-Little Purcell, With burial to follow at Washington Cemetery.
