Lawrence Neiles Beller

Lawrence Beller, age 81 of Noman, OK passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at the St. Thomas Regional Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Lawrence was born May 14, 1932 in Norman, OK, the 5th child of 10 children born to Luther Theodore Beller and Clementine Elizabeth (Madden) Beller. Lawrence grew up a farm boy living between Blanchard and Washington. At an early age he learned the value of hard work. He attended the Blanchard Schools and before he finished high school he had to go to work to help support his family. Lawrence enlisted in the United States Army and was proud to serve his country. On May 19, 1957 in Purcell, OK, Lawrence married Frances June Campbell, a young lady from Washington. They made their home in Norman where together they raised 3 sons, Jerry, Gary and Jeff. Lawrence worked in the water department for the City of Norman and retired as a supervisor after more than 33 years of dedicated service. After he retired from the City of Norman, he went to work for his brother Robert at B&H Construction in Goldsby. He worked there until his health began to fail. Lawrence was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather; he was also a special brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed! Lawrence had many hobbies throughout in life including, camping and fishing with his family, traveling and going to O.U. football games. When his sons were younger he enjoyed watching them play sports. However one of his favorite things to do was hanging out with his brothers and spending time with all his family. He was preceded in death by: His parents, Luke and Clemmie Beller; Sister, Viola Mayo and 5 Brothers, Willie, Paulie, Isaac, Calvin and Robert. Lawrence leaves behind: His wife, Frances, of the home; 3 sons, Jerry Beller and wife Nici of Atlanta, GA, Gary Beller of Murfreesboro, and Jeff Beller and wife Suzanne of Murfreesboro; Brother, Roy Beller of McLoud, OK; 2 sisters, Vina Martin of Bonham, TX and Linda Hyde and husband Lonnie of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Adonis, Alex, Reeves, Kelsey and Korey; Several niece and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Goldsby Baptist Church in Goldsby, OK. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell, OK.
