Louise Maxine Montgomery

Louise Montgomery, age 77, of Lindsay passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2024. Louise Maxine Carroll was born on February 8, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the youngest of three children born to Luther Clifford (L.C.) Carroll and Marie Wilna (Thomas) Carroll. She was raised in Oklahoma City, where she attended grade school up until the 8th grade. In 1960, she caught the eye of a young man named, Lonnie Glenn Montgomery, at a church service on New Years Eve. The two quickly fell in love and were married by the next Christmas Eve in Amarillo, Texas. Lonnie and Louise's love story was nothing short of epic as they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage together. She was his "Sugar Babe" and he was her "Baby". They truly were inseparable. Together they raised two beautiful children, Lonnie and Lisa. Louise was driven and dedicated to working hard every single day. Throughout her working career, she worked for various companies such as TG&Y, Western Electric, and Delta Faucet. At each place, she devoted her time and efforts helping in whatever way she could. She left the workforce to care for her family when her children were young. Louise was a woman of great faith. She devoted her life to the Lord and lived everyday to serve Him and His Kingdom. A little later in life, Louise answered the call to ministry. She served as a minister at Tabler Pentecostal Church of God and Faith Pentecostal Church of God for the Pentecostal Church of God Oklahoma District. Louise was ordained for nearly 25 years! In her free time, she loved to crotchet, sew, and paint ceramics. She was very artistic and creative! Louise was very loving and kind to everyone. She truly had a servant's heart. Most of all, Louise was a family woman. She loved spending time with her family and she truly cherished every moment with them. Louise was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a true friend. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: her parents, L.C. and Marie Carroll; brothers, Luther Carroll and Merrill Carroll. Louise is survived by: her loving husband, Lonnie Montgomery Sr. of the home; son, Lonnie Glenn Montgomery Jr. of Lindsay; daughter, Lisa Gunn and husband Freddy of Noble; 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Jody, Jessica, and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation from 5-7 Monday, January 29, 2024. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Little's Chapel. Burial will follow at Dibble Cemetery.
