Nancy Dean Linker

Nancy Dean Linker age 61 of Rosedale, passed away Thursday, December 12 2013 at Southwest Medical Center in OKC. She was born on December 26, 1951 in Rosedale, OK. She was the youngest of nine children born to Ulric Lamar Eddlemon and Jewell Bessie (Richardson) Eddlemon. Nancy grew up a country girl in the small town of Rosedale. She attended school in Wayne and graduated with the class of 1969. As a young girl she enjoyed music and learned how to play the flute and the piano. At the age of 20, Nancy married Olen Earl Linker on June 8, 1972 in Gainesville, TX. Nancy raised four children, Sammy, Amanda, Marc and Jami. When first married they lived in Raton, NM, then Carson City, NV, later Lake Worth, TX, and lastly in Pauls Valley before returning to Rosedale in 1997, the place she called home. Nancy worked tirelessly as a homemaker, wife and mother. It always seemed that she was the happiest when she was cooking, cleaning, doing laundry or attending to her children and grandchildren. Nancy was a faithful Christian and longtime member of the Rosedale First Baptist Church. Her favorite pastimes were reading, listening to music, and watching TV, especially professional football and OKC Thunder basketball. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her pets. She was preceded in death by: Parents: Ulric and Jewell Eddlemon, Husband: Olen Earl Linker, 2 brothers: Weldon "Brass" Eddlemon and Charles "Choc" Eddlemon, 2 sisters: Gerry Atkerson and Barbara McBride, She is survived by: 4 children: Sammy Linker and wife Slaviana of Burtonsville, MD, Amanda Langdon and husband Kevin of OKC, Marc Linker of Rosedale, Jami Linker of Rosedale, 2 sisters: Doris "Teenie" Lang of Rosedale, Anne Sansom and husband Stan of Paoli, 2 brothers: Bill Eddlemon and wife Jane of Lexington, Paul Eddlemon and wife Margaret of Kingsbury, TX, Three grandchildren: Chloe Weisner, Karlee Langdon and Alex Roberts, Brothers-in-law: Virgil McBride of Ponca City, Frank Linker and wife Joy of Hot Springs Village, AR, Sister-in-law: Arlena Brown of Pauls Valley, Several cousins, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Rosedale First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
