Patsy Ruth Roach-Lozier

Patsy Ruth Roach-Lozier, age 83 of Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Born October 22, 1941 in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Purl Gregory and Margaret Ruth (Cunningham) Lozier, she was the oldest of four children. She spent her early years in Okla. City where she attended school through Capitol Hill Junior High. She began high school in Pawhuska, later graduating with the Huskies’ Class of 1960. She returned to Okla. City and started working at the John A. Brown Department Store. Patsy married young to Jack Walcott, and to this union, a daughter Donna was born. She moved to Lindsay for a time, before returning to Okla. City. She later married George Roach, and a son Heath was born. By 1974, they settled in Washington. For a short time, Patsy owned and operated the Gregory House Restaurant in Norman, and also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She was intrigued with Native American history and art. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker, a role she flourished in, and she was never happier than the day she became a Grandma and then ultimately a GiGi. Patsy loved life; she was a vibrant soul and she truly cherished her relationships. She was an avid OU Football fan and maintained very close relationships with many of her high school classmates. She looked forward to her annual Class reunions. Never shy of an opinion, she enjoyed a good Facebook debate and sharing other’s life stories. She was a wonderful cook, and will forever be remembered for her chocolate sheet cake. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: her parents, D.A. and Margaret Lozier and Purl Gregory; sister, Karen Tiger; brother Dean Gregory and a nephew, Shawn Lozier. Patsy is survived by: her son Heath Roach and wife Angel of Washington; daughter, Donna Walcott of Purcell; Brother, Lindy Lozier and wife Jana of Moore; 5 grandchildren, Kasey Knowles and husband Kyan, Blake Ellis, Hannah Roach, Alden Roach and Elden Roach; 4 great grandchildren, Paisley Knowles, Kash Knowles, Andi Stalnaker and Bison Ellis; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Little’s Chapel. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. www.wilsonlittle.com
